1: Congratulations to Fitz Eugene Dixon, Major General Guy V. Henry and the horse I Love You for being inducted into the Show Jumping Hall of Fame! Induction into the Show Jumping Hall of Fame is a great honor bestowed on a select few whose contributions to the sport of show jumping have set them apart. The induction ceremony took place at the American Invitational, and they join 81 others previously enshrined in the Show Jumping Hall of Fame since its inception in 1987. History in the making! Pictured: Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, congratulates Norman Dello Joio and I Love You after winning the FEI World Cup in 1983.

2: The Lake Placid Horse Shows will once again host three weeks of horse show competition.  The Lake Placid Horse Show will run June 23-28, highlighted by the $75,000 Devoucoux Grand Prix of Lake Placid on Sunday, June 28. The I Love New York Horse Show will follow, June 30 – July 5, highlighted by the $75,000 Equine Insurance Services/Great American Grand Prix on Sunday, July 5. The Adirondack Horse Show will conclude show jumping’s three-week stay in the Adirondacks, July 7-11, highlighted by the $100,000 Woodlea Farms Adirondack Grand Prix on Friday, July 10 (not on Saturday as it was last year). Pictured: Laura Chapot and Quointreau Un Prince won the $100,000 Woodlea Farms Adirondack Grand Prix in 2014.
